On the trail of star trails
[gallery link="file" columns="2" orderby="ID"] I love night shots. I also love star trails in remote areas.
Columbia Icefield Pano
Nikon D700 - This is 18 vertical photos stitched, maybe 150 degrees field of view. It's hard to imagine the magnitude how huge these mountains are... It was stunning - and cold. Between peaks 1 & 2 (from left) is where the Columbia Icefield Glacier pokes through into the valley.
ISO 200, 24-120mm @ 45mm, f/25 @1/250 sec.
Grant's Tomb
Also from the same night Gabe and I shot, this is uptown at Grant's Tomb. That's Gabe near his tripod in the distance.
